About Crafted Paper Designs
Crafted Paper Designs (CPD) was created in 2018 by Lauren Schlaht, a Hespeler, Ontario artisan. What began as a small-scale production of handmade cards and custom picture frame mattes quickly morphed into something larger; within six months, more handmade products were released, including bookmarks, glass décor and decorative bottle lights. Today, CPD continues to create and offer all of these products, with a greater focus on the best sellers – and her favourites to create: bottle lights and cards.

We pride ourselves on creating our handmade items with care and to a high level of standards. Everything from our handmade greeting cards and unique bookmarks, to the eye-catching bottle lights available for all ages, are crafted using tried-and-tested techniques and with materials that last.
From Coping to Thriving
Lauren began crafting as a way to cope and feel productive during the much-needed downtime of living with a chronic illness, ankylosing spondylitis (AS). AS affects the spine and hips, causing pain, stiffness, discomfort and mobility problems. To deal with the mental and physical struggles she felt, the opportunity to create and share a passion of creativity has led to a thriving small business.
